29 aprilie: iordache solo la clubul ţaranului

e intotdeauna interesant sa cânţi singur la saxofon, fiindcă atunci cand taci nu se mai aude nimic si trebuie sa foloseşti liniştea.
a fost al treilea concert solo al meu, primele 2 au fost acum 2 ani, la art jazz club şi la la scena. vreau sa mai fac şi altele.
compoziţiile spontane au sunat mai bine decât piesele deja existente, ale mele sau ale altora. e de lucru pentru a le aduce pe toate în acelasi film. am auzit şi că am cantat “prea mult funk”, ceea ce s-ar putea sa fie adevărat. mi-aş fi dorit să ştiu să cânt la bas, şi probabil că asta se simte. pe de altă parte, există oare “prea mult funk”?
lumea a fost foarte atentă.

it’s always interesting to play saxophone solos, because when you stop there is silence and you have to work with that silence.
this was my third solo saxophone concert, the previous ones were in art jazz club and at la scena, about two years ago.
instant compositions fared better than the few actual tunes. there’s work to do in order to blend these two approaches. somebody said there was “too much funk” and they might be right. I would have liked to know how to play the bass, and I guess it shows. is there such a thing as “too much funk”?
people were listening very closely.
